Lead Teacher

Amanda has been in the Early Childhood and School-Age field for 8 years as an afterschool and preschool teacher in the city of South San Francisco. Amanda earned her Associates in Early Childhood Education from Skyline College and graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Child Adolescent Development from San Francisco State University in 2016. Amanda has a passion for teaching children 2 years to 12 years old. She believes that children learn the best through play. In her free time, Amanda enjoys reading, puzzles, movies, and spending time with family, including her dogs.


Ana Lucia has been in the early childhood field for 8 years. She completed all her early childhood education from City College of San Francisco and is transferring to San Francisco State next year. She found passion in this field after volunteering at a preschool her senior year of high school. After high school she took jobs as a babysitter and Spanish tutor for young children. She is family oriented and believes it is important to build a strong emotional bond with children. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach and Latin dancing.


Angel was born in South Africa and while she lived there volunteered with Bobbie Bear, a human rights organization working with orphans. She earned her Early Childhood Education units and Child Development Associates from Successful Solutions. She has lived in the United States for the last 11 years.  Working for 2 years at Babes Running Start Preschool mainly with infants and toddlers. During her free time Angel enjoys walking her dog Jack, dancing and hanging out with her friends.

Master Teacher

Anne has worked at Happy Hall for almost 12 years. Before Happy Hall, she worked in afterschool programs before realizing she liked working with younger children best. At Happy Hall, she started in Orange Class and has worked in Yellow, Green, Blue and now in Purple!  She received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Chabot College. Anne holds her Site Supervisor Permit and is a Mentor Teacher for San Mateo County. Anne provides a safe, loving and healthy environment that fosters learning and development in cognitive, social, emotional and physical areas. Anne lives in San Bruno with her husband and three children She enjoys her pets and taking her kids to their sporting activities.

Director of Accounting

Anne has over 30 years of experience in the accounting field and has worked most of her career in corporate companies. This is her first experience in the education sector and she loves it. Anne is always willing to support the staff in any capacity and looks forward to participating in school events. Anne has a bachelor's degree in Accounting. Anne wakes up every morning with a grateful heart, and it shows in all of her actions. In her spare time, Anne loves spending time with her husband and two daughters. She is also active in Kali (Filipino martial arts).

Lead Teacher

Christine graduated from Santa Clara University in 2016 with her B.S. in Liberal Studies with a specialty in Early Childhood Education.  While in college she worked at the onsite preschool as an assistant teacher. She has also worked as a lead teacher at an afterschool program and most recently as an individual aide in a classroom for a child in first, through third grade.  She worked at Happy Hall a few years ago and is excited to be back. Her teaching philosophy is that children learn best through play and their own experiences and since all children learn differently their needs to be a variety of activities to engage all children


Crystal has been working with children for 7 years. She is currently achieving her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education at Skyline College.  She is fluent in both English and Spanish. In her free time she enjoys traveling, watching movies and spending time with family and friends.


Desiree has worked with children for 5 years through Reading Partners and other job experiences. She currently attends school at Sonoma State University and is a double major studying Early Childhood Education and Psychology.  She hopes to attend graduate school after to earn her master’s degree in Early Childhood studies. Desiree believes that acknowledging the uniqueness of each child and providing them with an inclusive environment in and out of the classroom is important. In her free time, she enjoys walks on the beach with her dog Petunia, hiking with her boyfriend, eating out with family and friends, Target runs and doing makeup on herself and others.

Assistant Director

Frank has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 35 years. He has been everything from an assistant teacher to a director and joined Happy Hall as the assistant director in May of 2019. He has an A.A. degree from San Jose City College and has taken additional E.C.E. courses throughout the years. He believes the classroom is the child’s space a teacher’s job is to guide them in their explorations.  He enjoys gardening and his four dogs. He lives on Treasure Island and enjoys spending time with his three grown children.


Geena has worked in the Early Childhood Development field for the last 5 years. She has obtained her 12 core units from Rasmussen college and is continuing to take more classes to further her education. Geena believes that every child learns best through play and having a safe and creative space to be in. Geena is a bay area native. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, pets, friends, watching Netflix, reading books and baking.


Ginger has worked with children for the past 4 years since she started nannying during her junior year of high school.  She is currently a junior at the University of Wisconsin working toward her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as minoring in Italian and Studio Arts. Ginger is taking a break from school and has moved back to the West Coast to spend time with family.  Ginger has a keen interest in Child Development as well as in Child Psychology.  In her free time, Ginger enjoys being creative through photography, makeup artistry and baking.


Isabel has worked at Happy Hall since 1995.  Prior to that she had worked as a director at a senior center.  During her time with us she has worn many hats: assistant teacher, lead teacher, interim director, cook, plumber, the list goes on and on. Isabel took her ECE classes at Skyline College. Isabel believes that children should be heard and nurtured in order to even begin to learn. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially her 3 children and  8 grandchildren. She also enjoys gardening and playing in the dirt.  


January has attended Skyline and College and received her certificate in Surgical Technology. While she was waiting for her final exam in this field, she worked as a teacher’s aide at a child care staffing agency.  She often came to Happy Hall during this time. She worked with toddlers at a Kindercare in Palo Alto and while there completed her education for a certificate in Early Childhood Education.  She has chosen to work with children because their behavior is interesting and she loves the daily challenges. In her free time she enjoys bonding with her family and taking walks.

Office Coordinator

Jennifer has been at Happy Hall for three years.  Previously working for an e-commerce wedding and party decor distributor for 8 years as their assistant office manager. Her collective experience in customer service spans over 15 years and has really helped her become a huge asset to Happy Hall.  She has studied business administration at San Francisco State University.  In her free time Jennifer likes to spend time with her husband and three year old daughter.  She enjoys the beach and finding great places to eat.


Jocelyn has been teaching for 3 years. She is studying Child Development and Nutrition at City College of San Francisco. Jocelyn knows that children learn best when they are having fun and enjoying the adventure of discovery.  She is very silly and nurturing with the children. In her personal life, Jocelyn is a vegan who enjoys painting, dogs and yoga. 


Jovana Pimentel is currently studying Early child development at Ohlone College. She has worked with kids for about the past 9 years, from babysitting to summer camp. She previously worked at a gymnastics institute where she taught gymnastics and helped grow young children's motor skills. She is patient with children and understands that that every child's needs are different. In her spare time, she likes to read a good mystery book and go on long walks with her dog Charlie. 

Lead Teacher

Kathy has worked in the education field for nearly 15 years. She has been at Happy Hall for almost three years. Starting in Yellow Class as the Lead Teacher, working in Purple Class and now as the Blue Class Lead.  She obtained her Early Childhood Education units from City College of San Francisco.  She feels her role as a teacher is to assist each child in developing their own potential and discover their learning styles.  She enjoys incorporating hands on learning, cooperative learning, projects, themes and individual work that engages and activates student learning. Kathy is from Hawaii and in her free time enjoys hiking, pilates, running, walking and exploring the beach. She enjoys time with family.

Lead Teacher

Monica has worked at Happy Hall for the past 9 years. She was introduced to our school through her mother in law who worked here for 20+ years! She graduated from Skyline with an A.A. in Child Development.  Her two children graduated from Happy Hall and are now in 2nd and 4th grade. Monica loves working with 2-3-year-olds because she is an expert potty trainer and really believes in teaching self-help skills and helping children build relationships. Monica also enjoys teaching numbers, the ZooPhonics letters, shapes, and colors through fun active games and music. At home, Monica enjoys baseball, music and playing board games.


Monse has been working in the child development field for 2 years. She is studying at the College of San Mateo and wants to transfer next year to Washington State University in order to become an elementary school teacher. Monse is a proud bilingual Spanish-English speaker because of how helpful she can be for those who may have trouble with English. In her free time she enjoys playing with kids, cooking, reading and playing soccer. She is even on the Skyline soccer team!


Rosa has been at Happy Hall for 18 years.  She earned her Early Childhood Education units from San Francisco City College.  Rosa enjoys teaching the children Spanish through songs and fun circle time activities.  Rosa lovingly encourages children as they grow in their social, emotional physical and cognitive development  On the weekends Rosa enjoys volunteering and getting involved with her church. 


Samantha is studying Child Development at San Francisco State. She has worked with children in many different capacities including babysitting, teaching at her church and working at an afterschool program. Samantha understands that every child has different needs and learns at their own pace. She is always patient and helpful with every child. Samantha loves animals, travel and speaking Spanish.


Shelley has been working in Early Childhood Education for over 20 years and has been a director for the last 15.  She joined Happy Hall 5 years ago and is really enjoying being part of a neighborhood school that has such a strong community.  She received her B.A. and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Santa Clara University. She has also taken some Early Childhood Education classes from different community colleges in the bay area.  In her free time Shelley enjoys taking day trips with her husband and two children as well as watching movies, camping and playing with her dogs.
